Our Principal Ruth Hallinan is a highly qualified and experienced trainer and consultant, with over twenty-five years’ experience of working in both the Oil and Technology industries and within her own consultancy company, Data Privacy Solutions (DPS), formally RFH Consulting.

She is compliance focused with vast experience in advising clients on all aspects of local and European Data Protection legislation within the health, public sector, financial and entertainment sectors.

Ruth has extensive experience in designing and delivering bespoke Data Protection training courses which ensures her clients specific requirements are met. Ruth works with her clients to create these courses, ranging from one-to-one Data Protection Officer training, Data Protection team training, awareness training for general staff members and Board members training within both the Public and Private sector.   

As a consultant Ruth has vast experience creating solutions to compliance issues raised by clients from diverse business sectors, and implementing their compliance projects. She has experience in the implementation of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on ISO 27001 Information Security and is also a qualified lead auditor of this ISO standard.

Ruth sits on the Association of Data Protection Officers (ADPO) Executive Committee and also represents ADPO on the Confederation of European Data Protection Organisation (CEDPO)
